You can't be forever what you can, so at some point exclude yourself to other's life.

It's not about of being on negative mode, it's to make others realize and reflect for themselves. There might be at some point that they'll be on your situation. 

Well, it's giving them time and chance to live at their own pace without you being involved.

Your choice might be a reason of hate from them, but it will not last forever, for someday your choice today will be a reason of gratitude from them.
